A Week in the Life {Tuesday}

1:00a.m. - Rick and I finally went to bed (he worked late and I stayed up cleaning/working on party stuff). Thanks to a sleepwalker and a little girl having bad dreams (and her daddy who is a sucker), this is what our bed eventually looked like when it was time to get up:

Worst. Co-sleepers. Ever.
But aren't they so sweet when they're asleep?
Can you tell she was happy that her daddy came to get her? No more bad dreams here.

6:30a.m. - Kids are up and asking for breakfast. I tried to get a little more time out of them by turning on cartoons but they weren't buying it. Yawn! I got up and made them breakfast and then we snuggled on the couch and watched Harper's favorite show, Super Why ("Su Why!!!!!!!"). Then I got the kids situated with some toys so I could hop in the shower.

9:00a.m. - I got us all dressed and ready and threw in a load of laundry and cleaned up the kitchen. Then we played in the backyard and took advantage of this gorgeous weather.

Look who can now climb up the rock wall

11:45a.m. - I loaded the kids up and headed to the gym. I drop them off in child watch to play and I work on my bible study and ideally get a work out in there too. Today I was short on time so I just spent the hour doing my BSF lesson.

1:00p.m. - We got back home and I fixed lunch. We ate it outside...if you can't tell, they love their new playset with the built in picnic table. We are trying to get as much use out of it as we can before it gets too hot.

2:00p.m. - After I cleaned up after lunch I put Harper down for a nap. I have to put her in "sleep clothes" as we call them -- a romper with snaps -- otherwise she takes off her clothes and pull up during her nap and usually pees in her bed. Not sure why keeping clothes on that kid is such a challenge (I will have to tell the mortifying story from when we were at chick-fil-a sometime soon. ha!). She's our little exhibitionist, that's for sure. During Harper's nap Harrison has "quiet time" in his room. It's not quiet in the sense that he is resting or relaxing or being quiet, but he stays in his room and plays with his toys. And usually comes out in a funny costume of some sort - he loves to play dress up. During this time I folded and put up laundry and picked up the house.

When I went outside to pick up, this is what I found in the sand box. Harper had raided some DVDs and ink cartridges out of our TV armoire while I was fixing lunch and decided they needed to be buried in the sand.

the outfit Harrison put on during quiet time.

more dress up

Harper's way of telling me she was done with her spaghetti.

5:00p.m. - I searched the house high and low for Harrison's t-ball uniform and then got him dressed. Rick got home and we headed to the YMCA for his game. It was quite entertaining to say the least!

7:00p.m. - We got home and I bathed Harper while Harrison took a shower with his dad. Then it was pajama time and teeth brushing time and I tucked Harper in about 7:30. Harrison watched an episode of Mighty Machines (he is obsessed and gets so mad at me when I can't answer all of his construction equipment-related questions) and then he was in bed at 8:15.

8:30p.m. - I made a tutu for Harper to wear at her party and cleaned the house some more (never, ever ends, right?) while Rick ran to Walmart to get a few things he needs for the shop. Looking forward to watching an episode of Modern Family on Hulu and maybe eating a bowl of cereal. Because we are that exciting. :)
I've been looking for black currant tea for years and finally found some at HEB. I brewed some tonight and it is delish!

Here's what we were up to on Tuesday last time. Funny how many things are different and yet many things are the same...Harrison was about the age that Harper is now.

I'm loving this little series! I know it requires some time and dedication to write a post like this every day!

Oh and where did you get your playground set? When our new house is finished, we'd really like to get some kind of slide and/or swingset for Eli.

Hi, Jocelyn! Funny story on the play set. My parents bought it for their house but thanks to their strict HOA we ended up with it in our backyard. They bought it from Walmart.com I believe.
