Rain, rain, go away!

It's been raining off and on all week, and today it's been pouring. It's been one of those days where you kind of wish that you'd just stayed home and not gotten out in it. But my MOPS group was having a baby shower for all the pregnant mommies this morning and I didn't want to be a no-show. I was drenched before we even left the driveway, and the rain hasn't stopped yet. Loading/unloading 2 kids, maneuvering a stroller, guiding a 5-year old, and carrying freshly-baked muffins, a gift, diaper bag, purse, and notebook through a giant parking lot while sheets of rain blow directly into your face isn't my idea of a fun time!

Poor Joel (actually, poor all of us) has been cooped up indoors for the majority of the week. He's wanted to go swimming and to the park, but the weather just won't cooperate. Hopefully we'll get to enjoy some fun in the sun before his visit is over.

So we've just been hanging out.

And he's been entertaining Harrison.

They play really well together despite their age difference.

We went to the library for story time, I took him to McDonalds to play on the slides, and we've been watching a lot of movies, coloring, painting, and pretty much any and all other indoor activities that you can think of. Maybe tomorrow the sun will decide to come out?
