2 Months (Already?)

When did this happen? And why didn't anybody ask me for permission?

He weighs in at 13lbs., 4oz. (85th percentile).

He is 23 and 3/4 inches long (80th percentile).

His head circumference is 41cm (75th percentile). Being the son of my husband, I had bets that he would be in the 90th+ percentile, but I was wrong. Ha!

So Harrison, what have you been up to this month?

You are sleeping soooo much better through the night! Once we get you to sleep, which we try to do around 10pm, you'll sleep until 6am, when Daddy gets you up for breakfast. Then you like to go back to sleep until around 9am or so. We love you for this! :)

You are still sleeping in your lamb swing in our bedroom. You scream when we try to put you in your pack and play or your crib. The doctor said it's due to your reflux and that hopefully you'll grow out of it in a few months.

You discovered your fists a couple of weeks ago. You joyously nom on them with a look of such deep satisfaction.

In fact, sometimes the only thing that gets them out of your mouth is this:

You are eating about 5oz. of breast milk every 3 hours or so. Mostly out of a bottle, because you can scarf it down much faster that way. I still nurse you once or twice a day but when you are really hungry, you prefer the bottle.

You still love bath time. Which you get to enjoy every night thanks to your very favorite activity: spitting up.

You are still not a huge fan of tummy time, but you are making great progress at holding yourself up! You get so frustrated that you're not mobile yet, but I have a feeling it won't be much longer.

You are getting SO strong! About 2 weeks ago, you tried out your Jumperoo for the first time and loved it. You can't reach the floor, but with a large pillow underneath you bounce away. You also love for us to help you stand and jump. We are really impressed with how much weight you can bear on those cute little legs of yours!

You have made 3 very good friends. You love to sit and watch them curiously. And you love to get kisses from them when Momma's not looking.

You have discovered your tongue and constantly stick it out at us. And if I stick mine out first, you copy me. It's too cute!

You have such an intense personality! You make so many funny expressions and tend to be pretty serious most of the time, but also do your fair share of smiling and grinning, too.

We love you to pieces, little man!
