And Then There Were Five...

I'm so happy to introduce our sweet Hadley Claire. She was born on November 3, 2015 at 7:34am. She weighed 8lb. 8oz and was 20 inches long. She is the bonus baby that we didn't know we needed. And then we met her...and now can't imagine our family without her. It really is amazing how much your heart can grow in a  matter of moments.

We hired a photographer to take pictures of her birth. C-sections are fast and somewhat chaotic compared to vaginal births and Rick didn't want to miss out on any special moments trying to get pictures. Plus, he is not the best photographer ;) We have a few pictures from when Harrison was born but didn't get many at all when Harper was born since it was an emergency situation and she was taken straight to the NICU. I am so glad we decided to do this. There is so much I didn't get to see and I will treasure these captured moments forever.

Somehow our Hadley Hoo is 2 weeks old today. I am loving and soaking up every minute with her and wish I didn't know how quickly this newborn stage goes by. She lost her umbilical cord yesterday and I cried. I wish I could blame it on my hormones, but it's because I know this is my last baby and that was my last umbilical cord to ever see go. So bittersweet!

I will post more pictures and updates soon. I feel like I'm walking on clouds and am so incredibly thankful that God added this sweet girl to our family. Also, the moment she was born I felt ZERO nausea for the first time since March! I can't even begin to tell you how good it is to feel like my old self again. What a miserable pregnancy...but boy was she worth it.
